01 Who we are

Backlink Sourcer ("we," "us," "our") provides software that helps businesses and agencies find, win, and track local backlinks. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our mailing address is 107 Victory Crescent, Milford, CT 06460, United States.

02 What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service.

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address, and password credentials, handled through our authentication provider.
  • Workspace content — the websites you connect, prospects you save, pipeline notes, and outreach drafts you create.
  • Billing details — your plan and payment information, processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Support messages — anything you send us by email.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — features used, actions taken, and credits consumed, so we can operate and improve the product.
  • Device & log data — IP address, browser type, and timestamps, collected through standard server logs.

Information from public and third-party sources

  • SEO & backlink data — to surface opportunities and track authority, we retrieve publicly available information about websites, domains, and backlinks through third-party data providers. This may include domain metrics and publicly listed contact details for outreach prospects.

03 How we use it

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the service.
  • Analyze your site and local market, surface opportunities, and draft outreach.
  • Track your live backlinks and domain authority over time.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription and credits.
  • Respond to support requests and send essential service notices.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse or security issues.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We rely on the following legal bases where applicable: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, your consent (where required, such as certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

04 Service providers

We use a small set of trusted providers to deliver the service. Each processes data only as needed and under contract.

05 Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers above, with your team members within a shared workspace, when required by law or valid legal process, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will notify you.

06 Data retention

We keep your account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights).

07 Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of material incidents as required by law.

08 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them.

To exercise any of these, email backlinksourcer@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

09 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

10 Children

Backlink Sourcer is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
